Unexpectedly working from home can be a difficult thing to adjust to, but it can be done! There are a few thing you just need to remember:

  • Create and Stick to a Schedule – Figure out a routine, plan it, and stick with it.

  • Set Priorities – Develop self-discipline by keeping in touch with teammates and finding what works for you to achieve tasks. Avoid distractions and find ways to stay focused on the tasks at hand.

  • Select the Proper Tools – Invest in comfortable equipment right for the job, with appropriate technology supporting your work from home (i.e., cloud-based storage).

  • Define Boundaries – Allot your time and be able to walk away from you work station.

  • Practice Self-Care – Remember to exercise and go outside. Don’t be afraid to nap midday if needed. Stick to the “commute” and your morning routine.
